This paper presents a linguistic analysis of Na’vi, language created by Frommer with aesthetic purposes to complement the fantastic universe recreated in Avatar. This study aims to show how the author designs the main phonetic, grammatical and lexical features of this system in order to associate it with the Na’vi culture and thus achieve the desired effect: a beautiful and strange sound in turn.
